| Times i felt like a dead man |
[May. 1st, 2005|10:41 am] |
1.I ran up the escalators at London bridge station,i had not eaten since morning and it was around 1 a.m.
After reaching the station , i saw my train about to leave, so i ran a lil faster. A few minutes after getting into the train my heart started pounding, it was like this bass drum that just refused to stop, the dizziness started and i thought i was having a heart attack, i was sick till the time i got home (around 20 mins)
It was the scariest moment of my life, i thought i was dying!!
2.Another really scary moment happened abouta month back, I had a really high fever, my body just heated up like a furnace. Keep in mind i live alone here, and for some reason there was not a single pill i could take. So im all alone at night, cant sleep and the fever is starting to take over each and every part of me.
I thought thats it,"this is definitely how im going to die". |

Stolen from malbec
I want you to ANONYMOUSLY post anything that you want. Anything! tell me a story, a secret, a confession, a fear, a love - anything. If you hate me - go ahead and say it, if you love me - go ahead and say it. What was your first impression of me? How About now? Nothing will be held against you because I won't know who is saying it.
Be sure to post anonymously and honestly. Post twice, or however many times you'd like, and then put this in your LJ if you feel like it to see what your friends have to say.
Be as honest and ruthless as you want. It's the only way I'll ever learn!
I dont like meme like things but this looks like a lot of fun, maybe even ugly but who cares, its the only way ill learn i guess! |

A year ago i could not cook to save my life
You put me in a kitchen and i would'nt know what to do, but put me in front of some food... and that i know!
Two friends of mine once put me to shame, when they single handedly did two really great dishes. Thats when i thought well i might as well have a go at this one.
So around 3 months later, with the tutoring all done with ( have to thank my uncle for that, a true bachelor, he dont eat if he dont cook) i decided to take it to the next level
lashman, an old school friend (whos a chef now) and me decided to cook for around 15 people, an Italian meal, three kinds of sauces for our pasta and not to mention the Bruschetta served to our guests at the start, and Irish cream(Thats Tracy's doing, one birthday all i got from her was Irish cream) with Ice cream for dessert and yeah and a salad too
Now i know some of you are thinking they had a chef with them!, but we all pitched in with our own little something to make it great.
I've done most of the stuff we cooked that day on my own, so im happy about that too!
Now i know i can survive...

| The Cults |
[Apr. 21st, 2005|05:49 pm] |
I wonder how it all started, the fear of the unknown perhaps? a fear that transcended human logic, something that lived for a time suddenly ceased to exist. The early humans developed an emotion which we now know as fear, i wonder how they felt when a freak fire suddenly undermined their whole existence, took away from them everything they knew.
I think we all know the story of evolution, a repetition might make this piece entirely worthless, most importantly my knowledge is very limited.
We have tried to seek answers to these fears by explaining the idea of a greater entity , someone the all conquering humans had to bow to, a force or a being which when pleased gives you the best and when angered will not hesitate to destroy. Nature is one such force. However overtime humans started despising this kind of animist worship , one that seemed very unintelligent to the now intellectual race that we had become.
The idea of a human or a likeness of an average man possessing the power to be judgmental at first glance came to the fold, at that time too some people dismissed the idea, called it blasphemous and many other unholy words
Overtime conflicts developed , people started dying. They were called martyrs since they had given their life whilst protecting their faith. Empires were formed ,lands conquered in the name of the same faith. People enslaved, their traditional lifestyle deemed "pagan" or "dirty" by the new truth bearers, slowly the entire human race seemed to be under the spell of this "faith" that a human soul just like the battered souls of the dead called the "truth"
These organised cults called themselves by different names, preaching far and beyond their own frontiers their message of aestheticism. Why sometimes they would go as far as forcibly enlisting you, a kind of ancient draft, refusal meant paying the inexpensive cost of ones life. The price of a man whose freedom is taken over is generally lesser than the one who takes it.
A strong bastion of these faith bearers was formed, kingdoms with their rulers, some claimed direct descendancy from the First, the others went further by calling themselves direct descendants of that force, which was by now the only real truth.
The cults now assumed the role of torch bearers to the numerous human clans spread all over this scorched home of ours.
But people saw through these opportunistic cults, thousands of years of suspension of liberty may have a reason, it seemed to be only a matter of time before a new cult emerged.
A man in Rome jailed one of these new brash ideologists, little did he know that 200 of his successors might one day look back and call him "correct". Not only the Roman cult, but all the others fought hard. The power that they once had on a small human seemed to disappear faster than it took them to build their kingdom.
A new secular brave world which by now had become much smaller, decided as a child would decide his lunch was over with a burp that "enough is enough". No more false idols but a new practical rational world.
Its only a matter of time , this cult will fall too... |

Yes ive succumbed to the temptation
My head, never shaved before finally got the treatment two days back at precisely 21.30 hrs
Id like to think it looks like a Marlon Brando from his Apocalypse Now days
But Putty,Sheldon, Abhi and Aston say "it looks cute","suits your personality" and that was before the drinking...
The relief is unexplainable, what with the heat rising these days a lil bit of cool headedness always helps |

| Of cellos and Concertos |
[Mar. 22nd, 2005|06:42 pm] |
I must admit i grew up never quite understanding the point of classical music, i mean who wants to hear a bunch of pony tailed guys playing a couple of funnny looking stringed instruments, the hands of whom move to the whims of a 'baton' held in an equally funny old man's hand.
That lasted around 22 years. Sometime at the start of the 22nd year of this boys existence did a certain Strauss and Mozart come a calling... not to his door but his ear to be precise.
In this world i think nothing can be purer than what those two fine gentlemen had to offer.
Thats not all, once started i found this whole new world of some fine musicians Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven.
Someday i want to reach a stage where its all like the back of my hand..
Id like to offer my sincere apologies to anyone who thinks that im being disrespectful to the music by talking about it in a casual almost street like manner, but hey maybe thats what we need.. |
